    Hanna Lee Communications organized and promoted the first-ever “Show Me the Proof!” High Proof Cognac Cocktail Competition. The competition showcased the unique seasonal mixing possibilities of Louis Royer “Force 53” VSOP Cognac, one of the highest proof Cognacs in the U.S. market.

  • Campari’s Count Negroni Birthday Bash

    Hanna Lee Communications conceptualized and organized a Count Negroni Birthday Bash on behalf of Campari. The party, which was attended by 200 top craft bartenders, celebrated the Count Camillo Negroni, an Italian aristocrat who created the drink in the early 1900s. The event featured Negronis and Negroni variations stirred up by top bartenders. It was held at the New York Distilling Co. and its adjacent bar, The Shanty, in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. DJ Questlove spun his mythical musical stylings to provide a musical backdrop.

  • Campari Bar at the Manhattan Cocktail Classic Gala

    Hanna Lee Communications oversaw the creation of the Campari Bar at the Manhattan Cocktail Classic Gala. The stylish spot was a major hit among the event’s 3,000 chic attendees and featured a carbonated Negroni by Theo Lieberman (Milk & Honey and The Lantern’s Keep), a New York Negroni by Allen Katz (The Shanty) and an on-tap Negroni by Jacques Bezuidenhout (Jasper’s Corner, San Francisco).

  • “Make Your Own Neapolitan Pizza” Event at Forcella

    Hanna Lee Communications conceptualized and arranged two “make your own Neapolitan pizza” events at Forcella Park Avenue where media guests, under the guidance of Chef Giulio Adriani, made their own pies that were baked in a 1,000-degree oven. The pizzas were accompanied by new cocktails created by Dushan Zaric of Employees Only and Macao Trading Co.

  • MONO+MONO 3-D View-Master Menu Launch

    Hanna Lee Communications orchestrated two media events at MONO+MONO to showcase the restaurant’s new 3-D View-Master menu. Media guests enjoyed the vintage analog viewers with custom images of menu items as they savored Korean fried chicken, soju cocktails and live jazz performances.

  • Korea Ginseng Corp. Press Launch Event

    Hanna Lee Communications conceived and executed a launch event for Korea Ginseng Corp.’s new ginseng teas and herbal “shot” beverage. The agency worked with Bravo TV’s “Top Chef Masters” Kerry Heffernan and ace mixologists Pam Wiznitzer (The Dead Rabbit), Sother Teague (Amor y Amargo) and Lucinda Sterling (Middle Branch) to use the products in new dishes and craft cocktails.

  • Chefs’ Night Out

    Hanna Lee Communications created and promoted a Welcome Bar and a striking Red Lounge on behalf of Campari at Chefs’ Night Out, an annual event hosted by the James Beard Foundation and Bon Appétit Magazine. The event attracted more than 1,000 celebrity chefs, restaurateurs and industry luminaries. The bars celebrated Campari’s inaugural sponsorship of the James Beard’s first-ever “Outstanding Bar Program Award.” Signature aperitivos were made by Jim Meehan (PDT), Dushan Zaric (Employees Only), Tad Carducci (The Tippler), Christy Pope (Cuffs & Buttons Cocktail Catering ), Orson Salicetti (Jelsomino and Social Eatz), Joaquin Simo (Death & Co.) and Damon Dyer (The Rum House).

  • James Beard Awards Gala

    Hanna Lee Communications organized and promoted Campari’s activation at the James Beard Awards Gala held at Lincoln Center. The black-tie festivities commenced after Campari America CEO Gerry Ruvo bestowed the James Beard’s first-ever “Outstanding Bar Program Award” to Jim Meehan of PDT. Mixology legends Julie Reiner (Lani Kai and Flatiron Lounge) and Darryl Robinson (Cooking Channel’s “Drink Up” host) stirred up classic Negronis and Negroni Sbagliatos for the 2,000 attending culinary movers and shakers.

  • Santa Teresa Rolling Rum Tour

    Hanna Lee Communications orchestrated two rolling rum tour events for top media members and select bartenders to experience Santa Teresa 1796 as a sipping rum and in classic cocktails prepared at leading tippling destinations—Pegu Club, Silver Lining, Ward III and Macao Trading Co. Henrique Vollmer, a fifth generation member of the family behind the distillery, was on hand to brief the attendees on the rum and its time-honored production process in Venezuela.

  • Tango & Cocktail Tasting Event at Michael's New York

    Hanna Lee Communications conceptualized, organized and publicized a "New Valentine's Day Cocktails and Argentine Tango Event" at Michael's New York. The event was a co-marketing opportunity to showcase the restaurant's new drinks made exclusively with spirits from the agency's clients--Campari, Santa Teresa Rum and Louis Royer Cognac--and were accompanied by Michael's innovative "Bar Bites" dishes. The evening was highlighted by romantic Tango performances by a duo from TangoNY.

  • Japan Week Celebration

    Hanna Lee Communications successfully publicized Japan Week's Opening Gala event at Grand Central Terminal. More than 200 media and trade guests enjoyed an evening of Japanese food, drinks and culture. Ambassador Shigeyuki Hiroki, Consul General of Japan in New York, and government officials from JRO and JNTO opened a festive wooden cask of sake, which was ladled out to the attendees. Presenters included culinary legend David Bouley, who spoke about his passion for Japanese cuisine. The event paid homage to the 100th anniversary of the Japanese government's gift of 3,000 cherry blossom trees to the American people as a symbol of friendship.

  • "Campari" Presents Life with a Twist: Aperitivo and Beyond

    Hanna Lee Communications planned and executed the "Campari Presents Life with a Twist: Aperitivo and Beyond" press event attended by more than 60 top print, broadcast and online journalists representing both local and national media. Five top mixology luminaries, Julie Reiner (Lani Kai, Flatiron Lounge and Clover Club), Dave Wondrich (Cocktail Historian and Author), Dushan Zaric (Employees Only and Macao Trading Co.), Joe Campanale (L’Artusi, Anfora and dell’anima) and Christy Pope (Cuffs & Buttons Cocktail Catering), served up 15 newly-created Campari cocktails. These spirituous trendsetters rethought and reinterpreted the classic Italian Aperitivo Hour through the lens of today’s food trends and year-round dining occasions, including Aged Spirits, Brunch, Summer Greenmarket, Winter Entertaining and Dessert. Gerry Ruvo, CEO, Skyy Spirits, greeted the media guests and addressed the attendees. The event was held at Silver Lining in New York City's Tribeca neighborhood.

    Hanna Lee Communications publicized Louis Royer's participation in the Ultimate Blast. The agency worked with Chad Solomon of Cuffs & Buttons Cocktail Catering to create and serve an Old Fashioned and a holiday punch that incorporated Louis Royer's VSOP "Force 53" expression, a 106-proof Cognac.

  • "Les Dames d'Escoffier New York" Chapter and Korean Dinner

    Hanna Lee Communications and Les Dames d'Escoffier's New York chapter hosted an authentic multicourse Korean feast for its members and their guests. The event was held at New York Kom Tang, Manhattan's oldest Korean barbecue restaurant that uses real wood charcoal. Dishes included beef dumpling soup, savory seafood pancakes, barbecued short ribs of beef and chili-laced pork. Attendees were welcomed with Korean beer and soju, Korea's traditional spirit made from sweet potatoes, sorghum and rice. Dame Hanna Lee led the tasting by providing an overview of Korea and its culture, accompanied Jennifer Maeng, a fellow Korean food expert.

  • "Campari" at New York City Wine & Food Festival's "Meatball Madness"

    Hanna Lee Communications publicized Campari's participation in "Meatball Madness," a kick-off event of the New York City Wine & Food Festival, at which Food Network's always-stunning Giada De Laurentiis enjoyed a perfect Italian aperitivo moment. More than 30 top local chefs competed with their lofty versions of this homey Italian favorite. To complement the meaty fare, Campari, Italy’s iconic red spirit, served two signature cocktails, the classic Negroni and Negroni Sbagliato. The ruby red libations were stirred up by Cooking Channel's "Drink Up" host Darryl Robinson and Dutch Kills’ Richie Boccato.   • Wines of Croatia's First Grand Portfolio Tasting

    Hanna Lee Communications orchestrated and publicized the first grand tasting of Croatian wine. The event introduced more than 100 hidden gems from this Mediterranean nation. An in-depth seminar was led by wine expert, Cliff Rames, with a guest spot by wine maven Joe Campanale ("dell'anima", "L'Artusi" and Anfora). Attendees included over 100 wine, food and lifestyle media, as well as top New York City-based sommeliers. The open-air event was held at Hudson Terrace in Midtown Manhattan.

    Hanna Lee Communications launched Marie Brizard's new "Essence" line of liqueurs at Tales of the Cocktail that was attended by hundreds of cocktail fans and media.   • "World's Largest Negroni Event" at Tales of the Cocktail

    Hanna Lee Communications brought the media's spotlight to the "World's Largest Negroni," a massive 30-gallon cocktail assembled at Tales of the Cocktail and made of equal parts Campari, Italy’s legendary red spirit, Beefeater 24 Gin and Martini Rosso Vermouth. The festive libation, stirred up by famed Italian bartenders dressed up as the aristocratic Count Negroni, was made to celebrate the “Year of the Negroni” and attracted hundreds of onlookers and media.

    Hanna Lee Communications organized and promoted the launch of Bortolomiol DOCG Proseccos at The Setai Hotel for leading wine media. The event also included the debut of "Dreaming of Prosecco," a new book about companyfounder, Giuliano Bortolomiol, who pioneered the brut style of Prosecco and helped transform this once-rustic wine into a sophisticated, worldclass tipple.     Hanna Lee Communications organized and executed a "Negroni Pre-Awards Toast" on behalf of its client, Campari, to celebrate the nominees of the festival's much-anticipated Spirited Award. Hundreds of cocktail enthusiasts, nominees and admirers stopped by for a Campari Negroni, including Dushan Zaric (Employees Only, NYC), Dre Masso (London), Tom Chadwick (Dram, NYC), Jacques Bezuidenhout (Partida Tequila), as well as writers Darcy O'Neil (London, Ontario), Toby Cecchini (NYC) and Naren Young (NYC).   • Louis Royer Cognacs' "Force 53" Launch Event

    Hanna Lee Communications successfully launched Louis Royer Cognacs' "Force 53" high-proof expression with two events at Daniel Restaurant for 30 top bartenders followed by 50 media members. Top mixologists Darryl Robinson, Richie Boccato, Jonathan Pogash and Chad Solomon & Christy Pope stirred up cocktails using the 106-proof spirit, which were accompanied by Daniel's dishes. In addition, fifth generation family member and master selector Jerome Royer, as well as master blender Laurent Robin, led formal tastings of their VSOP "Preference," "Force 53" and XO expressions.

  • “The Winemakers” TV Series Season One Screening and Season Two Casting Call

    Hanna Lee Communications brought the media’s spotlight to the Season One preview of “The Winemakers,” the first reality-themed TV series focused on wine now airing on PBS.   • Top Chefs Converge to Help Street Kids

    Renowned New York chefs, including Floyd Cardoz (Tabla), Pichet Ong (Batch), Michael “Bao” Huynh (BarBao) and Susana Trilling (Rosa Mexicano) and others, recreated their home countries’ street foods to benefit STREETS International, an organization that helps transform street kids into culinary professionals.     On July 31, 2008, Hanna Lee Communications, Inc. promoted Sobieski Vodka’s “Spread the Truth” event that celebrated Sobieski Vodka’s one-year anniversary in the U.S. and its achieving its 200,000-case sales milestone in record-breaking time. The event was an extension of the “Truth in Vodka” PR campaign initiated by Hanna Lee Communications, Inc.   • Lombardy Food and Wine Events in New York City

    Hanna Lee Communications, Inc. organized two special events for the Confagricoltura Lombardia, a consortium of artisanal food and wine producers from the Lombardia region of northern Italy. They included a trade event at Bar Stuzzichini restaurant on June 30, 2008 that showcased the D.O.C. delicacies from this esteemed region of Italy and was attended by more than 100 specialty food and wine trade members and influencers. This was followed by a press dinner on July 1, 2008 at Centovini restaurant that featured a "vertical" tasting of the "three ages" of Grana Padano, Italy's favorite hard cheese paired with D.O.C. wines of Lombardia.   • "Piedmont: Food and Design Made in Italy" Event in New York City

    On April 16, 2008, Hanna Lee Communications, Inc. and their client Italy-America Chamber of Commerce hosted a tasting event at Cipriani 23rd St. featuring two Michelin-starred chefs, Alfredo Russo of "Dolce Stil Novo" Restaurant and Pier Bussetti of "Locanda Mongreno" Restaurant.   • Sobieski Vodka "Truth in Vodka" Launch Press Event

    On October 17, 2007, Hanna Lee Communications, Inc. hosted an intimate press event for the launch of Sobieski Vodka's "Truth in Vodka" campaign at Rayuela Restaurant. Cocktails were created by master mixologist Junior Merino and Rayuela's Executive Chef/Co-owner Máximo Tejada created three new ceviches to pair with the cocktails.

  • Rayuela Opening Press Event in New York City

    On June 27-28, 2007, Hanna Lee Communications organized a two-day opening press event to introduce Rayuela, (the Spanish word for “hopscotch”), a stylish new Latin American restaurant and ceviche bar on the Lower East Side and the first-of-its-kind culinary category, Estilo Libre Latino (Freestyle Latino) cuisine, which respects tradition, yet redefines classic dishes, including tapas. Rayuela is the brainchild of Executive Chef Máximo Tejada, emerging restaurateur Héctor Sanz and Paul Fernandez. The two press events were attended by over 50 media from Martha Stewart Living Radio, The New York Times, Business Week, Fodor’s, Time Out New York, New York Observer, Wine Enthusiast, Travel + Leisure, and many others.

  • NYC & Company and Restaurant Member Seminar

    On March 29, 2007, in conjunction with NYC & Company, Hanna Lee Communications hosted a business building seminar for their restaurant members titled, “Marketing Your Restaurant in the Digital Age.” The seminar was sponsored by Coca Cola for NYC & Company’s restaurant members as an added-value. Pavia Rosati of Dailycandy.com, Andrea Strong of The Strong Buzz, and Steven Shaw of eGullet.org discussed their online marketing tips for restaurants.

  • The French Culinary Institute’s New Italian Studies Program Launch

    On January 8, 2007, Hanna Lee Communications organized an Italian V.I.P. and Media Dinner to celebrate the launch of Italian Culinary Experience at The International Culinary Center (ICC). The event, hosted by Dorothy Cann Hamilton, the ICC’s CEO, and Chef Cesare Casella, Dean of the Italian Studies Program, featured a multi-course dinner designed by Chef Casella. To mark the occasion, Chef Massimiliano Alajmo, the youngest Michelin “three-star” chef in the world and in history, flew in from Italy to attend the dinner.

  • San Domenico NY Summer Menu Press Event

    On June 25, 2006, Hanna Lee Communications organized a press lunch and dinner at San Domenico NY to launch a summer menu prepared by Chef Odette Fada featuring “The Bounty of the Mediterranean” and to introduce the new “face” of the restaurant, the effervescent Marisa May. By invitation only.

  • Mionetto Prosecco Press Event

    On May 17, 2006, Hanna Lee Communications organized a Mionetto Prosecco Press Event at the Jolly Hotel Madison Towers. Master Vintner Sergio Mionetto provided a guided tour of Mionetto’s Prosecco portfolio. It was organized to celebrate Mionetto’s creation of the Prosecco category in the U.S. market and its availability in 47 states. More than 60 food, wine and travel journalists attended, including New York Magazine, The Food Network and others.

  • Ristorante Cinque Terre Spring Menu Press Event

    On April 5, 2006, Hanna Lee Communications organized a press dinner at Ristorante Cinque Terre in the Jolly Hotel Madison Towers to introduce their new female chef, Pnina Peled. It featured a multi-course, fig-themed dinner paired with special Italian wines. More than 55 food, restaurant, wine and journalists attended, including The Food Network, NBC’s “Today Show,” Business Week, NY1 and others.

  • Women for WineSense Event and Pinot Noir Tasting

    On March 27, 2006, The New York chapter of Women for WineSense, run by Hanna Lee, organized a Pinot Noir wine tasting with John Haeger of Saveur Magazine. More than 50 consumer wine enthusiasts attended.


  • Women for WineSense Event and Ted Allen from “Queer Eye”

    On March 6, 2006, The New York chapter of Women for WineSense, run by Hanna Lee, organized a wine tasting and a book signing with Ted Allen of “Queer Eye for the Straight Guy” on Bravo. More than 60 consumer wine enthusiasts attended.
